Lanai's Eastern Gulches Beautiful from the sea, and great from the land, the gulches are deep crevases in the volcanic terrain. There are many smaller ones in between, but the largest on this coast are Naboko, Lopa, Awehi, and Kapua gulches. Steeped in lush greenery and deep shadow, these would be reminiscent of the Hana highway if it weren't for their larger scale.. This is rough terrain, and should be attempted only with a four wheel drive vehicle. |
